720 DaYS (SchooL DayZ)
Sultanem, NaNa Gak em,
As you begin a new chapter of your life at Oakridge High School, I’d like to say a few words to you my love. First of all, know that I love and adore you with every fiber of my being. I would take a bullet for you any day. Allah(swt) has blessed me with this gift of Nioufer as I am very thankful to have you.
Second, know that you are so beautiful. I mean beauty in a sense of pure, organic, devoid of any bad intentions. Real beaty is loving yourself and being independent and confident yourself. Not letting anything or anyone tell you otherwise. Don’t let the power of Google and social media to shatter your confidence. Be strong. Beware of the two very toxic and dangerous obstacles that can ruin your professional and personal life. First one is social media. If you were to look at 500 CEOs and other power players in all facets of business and commerce, you will find one common denominator which is they do NOT waste too much of their time on social media. They have priorities of themselves, their families, their careers, health, and nutrition instead of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, snapchat, discord, and others.
Third, don’t let the opinion of others influence you negatively in anyway. People can be very mean, but if you are the mature one and “rise above the garbage”, you can achieve great things.
Fourth, please remember that clothes and brand names do not and should not define who you are. These are material things and you should not fall prey to and become a hostage of Lulemon, Luis Vuitton, Tiffanys, Gucci, and other expensive brand names. Your heart, compassion, loving personality, is what the true Nelly is and should always be. If I ask one thing of you and if you want to remember me, remember that humanity and compassion, and humility are the greatest brand names and characteristic any human can have.
In closing, the school countdown has officially begun; 720 school days in counting to college. Enjoy each moment of your high school experience. Work hard. Have fun. Smile and KNOW that you have an unyielding force behind you (me) that will catapult you to new heights.
I may not make it to day 720 to watch your cap and gown and scream crazy, but know that I will always always be your greatest fan and cheerleader. Finally, always always always listen to and respect your momma. She the kindest, most generous, loving person I have ever know. Don’t you dare break her heart.
I love you my NaNa Gak forever.
Go Class of 2026!!!!
